Watts 150th Anniversary Learn, Earn & Win Competition

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

 

  1. Overview:Australian Valve Group Pty Ltd (“Sponsor”) will offer a series of competitions at different times as part of its 2024 150th Anniversary Celebration (each, a “Competition”, collectively, the “Competitions”). Each Competition is separate. These Official Rules apply to each separate Competition. Further details will be listed at [https://www.wattsau.com.au/150th-australia-competition] (“Landing Page”). Be sure to check back regularly to see what is being offered at any given time.

     

  2. Eligibility: The Competitions are open only to legal residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or older and employed in the fields of plumbing and heating, water management, water treatment, water distribution, and water conservation, similar plumbing industry services, or electric floor heating. Employees and directors of Sponsor or any of its parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, as well as advertising, promotion, and production agencies (and their respective dependents, immediate family members, and individuals residing in their same household) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law. All applicable laws apply.

     

  3. Entry Period:Each Competition will begin and end at the dates and times listed on the Landing Page for that particular Competition (each an “Entry Period”). All times are measured by Australian Western Standard Time (“AWST”).

     

  4. How to Enter:To enter, you need to create a free account with Watts Works Online (“WWO”) at https://training.watts.com/login/signup.php?. You can gain entries of a Competition by:

     

    1. For a Quarterly Competitions:

       

      1. Register or log into WWO.
      2. Complete certain course modules and quiz during each of the three remaining calendar quarters in 2024.
      3. A banner of extra 5 questions will appear once you have completed step 2. Each Completion of steps 2 and 3 during a quarter equals one entry of the Quarterly Competition. You can enter multiple times during a quarter, and each time you may provide different answers to these 5 questions.
      4. You will then be able to choose the preferred prize of their interest after each Completion of steps 2 and 3.
      5. 2 Winners will be selected for each Quarterly Competition based on the creativity of their answers to the extra 5 questions within 15 business days after the end of each relevant quarter.
      6. Each winner will be notified from [email protected] via the email addresses provided by the winner and the winners will also be announced via Watts LinkedIn.
      7. Each winner needs to respond to the notification email with their shipping address within 5 business days after being notified or the prize may be forfeited.
      8. We will endeavour to deliver the prizes within 20 business days after receipt of shipping addresses.

     

    1. For the Grand Competition:

       

      1. To enter the Grand Competition, complete all the above-mentioned steps during any quarter in 2024, and upload a selfie with a Watts, AVG or Enware installation and authorise the use of the photo by the Sponsor and its related bodies corporate for marketing and communication purposes.
      2. 1 winner will be selected based on the creativity of their answers to the 5 questions previously submitted for any Quarterly Competition within 15 business days after the end of 2024. If you win a Quarterly Competition, it does not disqualify you from participation in the Grand Competition.
      3. The winner will be notified and will respond in the same manner as outlined in paragraphs a,6 to a,8 above relating to Quarterly Competition.

     

    Note that any cost associated with accessing WWO or participating a Competition is the entrant’s responsibility.

     

  5. Prizes: The prize(s) and value(s) available for any Competition will be listed on the Landing Page for that Competition. The prize(s) are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other item.

     

  6. Additional Rules:Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. No responsibility is assumed for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, incomplete, or illegible entries, all of which are void; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, mobile device, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's mobile device or computer related to or resulting from participating in any Competition.

     

    Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any Competition any person it reasonably believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) suspend, modify, or terminate any Competition if Sponsor reasonably believes, that malfunction, error, disruption, or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of any Competition.  In addition, if for any reason a Competition, or any part thereof, cannot run as planned, including tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Competition, or any part thereof, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible for or who tampers with the any Competition process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, and (if the Competition is not cancelled) to select the winners from among all eligible entries received prior to the termination or modification.  To the extent allowed by applicable law, entry into a Competition or acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s permission for Sponsor or a related body corporate of the Sponsor to use winner’s name, voice, picture, and/or likeness, in any and all media without restriction of any kind whatsoever, without compensation for promotion purposes to the extent allowed by law.

     

  7. Background Check: In connection with the Grand Competition, Sponsor may conduct a background check to confirm any potential winner’s eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.By entering the Grand Competition, you agree to cooperate reasonably with any such background check.Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.If a background check reveals that a potential winner (or guest) has engaged in conduct that could damage the reputation or business of the Sponsor, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, the potential winner may be disqualified and the Grand Competition may be awarded to an alternate winner, if time permits.

     

  8. Release of Liability: Nothing in these Official Rules limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Sponsor (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising out of or in connection with any Competition or a prize. If a prize is provided to the Sponsor by a third party, the prize may be subject to the terms and conditions of the third party prize supplier. To the extent permitted by law the Sponsor accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure by the third party to deliver the prize, any delay or failure relating to the prize itself or failure by the third party to meet any of its obligations.

     

  9. By participating, you agree that: (i) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with any Competition or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering any Competition; (iii) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased, and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses; and (iv) these Official Rules will be governed by and must be construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and each party irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.

     

  10. Data: The Sponsor may collect an entrant’s personal information in order to conduct the promotion of the Competitions and its product, and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Any information you submit is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy available at https://www.wattsau.com.au/privacy-policy.
